BEYOND expensive!! Might as well just light your money on fire. $120 for two boxes of mediocre (at best) chocolate?!?

I'm glad I read other reviews before leaving mine because I was wondering if maybe I just caught the store on an "off" day and should give them the benefit of the doubt. But after reading other reviews, I feel comfortable sharing my experience shopping here yesterday with my niece. The store does have a variety of candy, from chocolates to gummy bears and old school candy. There are so many fun things to look at in the store, which is why I will give it a rating at all. But the overall experience here was disappointing. We were shopping for gifts and when placing our order for multiple varieties of the bulk candy, the woman behind the counter put all the varieties together in one ziploc bag. So the gummy bears for my niece's boyfriend were mixed in with the edible legos for our nephew, in the same bag with other bulk candy. My niece was apprehensive about asking her to separate them, mostly because the woman was unapproachable and my niece felt intimidated. Needless to say, my niece did ask the saleswoman for an empty ziploc so she could separate them herself, which was provided. I feel that good customer service would have included the salesperson starting the order over again and not having the customer correct their mistake. After my niece placed her order for chocolates, I stepped up to the counter to place my order for my selections. Again the woman was putting them all in the same box, and I had to tell her again that our orders were separate. The customer service was definitely lacking and we felt rushed. Like I said, it is a store with alot of fun things to look at, but we felt pressured to make our selections and cash out. We spent $66 on a handful of chocolates and some bulk candy. But, I probably would have selected a few more items to purchase had I not felt so pressured to cash out. It was just an odd experience overall with very poor customer service. The one other thing that I did not find appropriate was seeing political items for sale in the candy store. There were some Biden 2024 stickers and toilet paper with Donald Trumps face on it. I found that to be distasteful to place political items in a retail space but maybe that's just me. But based on our experience, we will not be back.

Ridiculously expensive. Things store is a jam packed mess all over the place. Everything is marked up way over the cost in a regular store. It's actually comical that people would pay $6 for a candy bar that is $2 everywhere else.

one of my MHS students offered me a chocolate and asked me to give an honest review.
I picked the dark chocolate option and throughly enjoyed the creamy inside filling. overall it was a great dessert and highly recommend it to anyone

Adorable little candy shoppe! I felt like a kid again. Loved the giant candy canes. The home-made rice crispy treats were absolutely divine. Wish we stocked up on more goodies!

I was there this afternoon May 7 th. My friend and I decided to go for a ride 3 hours later we found ur self's in Great Barrington, Mass. Looking for lunch we happened to park in grin on Robin' s Candy I had or always have a sweet tooth. So we go into the store at first I loved it but after seeing the prices I was in shock but I still wanted something but when I got to the car I wanted to sink my teeth into a nice piece of chocolate after all I think I paid like $3 for each piece. My receipt didn't say how much each was but for 3 pieces of chocolate candy and about a 1/4 pound of jelly belly jellybeans it came too $16.50. I'm not one to sample stuff in stores but I really wish I had the jelly beans were rock hard couldn't even chew them. The chocolate were suppose to be vanilla, cream but the cream inside the chocolate was so hard I ended up throwing everything away including the jelly bellies. Don't go to trust me that was a Money
      .

This place had a lot of the old candies and goods from when my wife and I were younger. Now why did I give this place a two star. Even though they had a lot of items, however they were very very over priced. I have been to a lot of other similar candy shops with candy from my past and their prices were no where as high in price.
Also seemed to have a lot of dust on a lot of the items in the store. I feel with prices this high maybe it should be more up kept at least. Items like the bazooka gum soda looks like it's been there since it was made. It was a nice museum of candy.
Funny thing was three people walked in right before us and walked out saying that the prices were high and items were dusty and I still went in anyways to give them a try. Well ended up spending $27 anyways for like some pop rocks which still can be purchased a lots of places, $4 kitkats got 3 of those, a gummy roll and a $6 dollar kidder egg. So I guess I was the sucker.

I can't leave a ZERO star review so I have to put 1 star....
I have vacationed here multiple times and given this lady several chances to redeem herself.
On a recent trip, I went TWICE. With several kids... letting them Go to town on their choices...
I am Not one to care much about individual prices, but we took a HUGE offense to commentary we got directly from the owner of the store.

When specifically asking for less candy in a few bags... because we had already gotten a couple
Of bulk bags that were extremely Heavy handed the owner says the following ...

THERE IS ONLY ONE FULL SIZE HANDFUL BECAUSE WE CANT SURVIVE DURING COVID WITHOUT IT, THANKS FOR UNDERSTANDING

I'm sorry... it is almost 2022, this store seems to be doing just fine, the owner has a very successful business ripping off every tourist in town... and we hear she closes for a month after the holidays to go to her house in FL.
Also, we were there with 5 kids so "thanks for understanding".... Why is it MY JOB to save her from
covid? What about my COVID situation and giving her Any business at all? She should be grateful we are in the store buying candy instead of Walgreens 1 block away.

We found this comment to be awful, egregious, and completely disgusting because we already had multiple bags in the hands of our kids... so she knew we couldn't cancel our order and walk out. Which is how we felt at the moment.

I will Never be going back to this store... and will be telling family and friends that live in the area and in NYC... not to come here as well.

My family is in the Candy production and distribution business for 2 generations. We would love to support all independent stores like hers with
the way the industry is going, but this lady makes it impossible to do so...

Pay your employees more, and stop ripping off tourists and locals...
